2009 poetry

QuandaryI used to chase her.  She was the prize of my eyes.  I loved her, but she didn’t love me.  She said she could never love me.  She said she would never want me.  All through high school this continued.  Every year, from freshman to senior.  I would ask her if she wanted to go out with me,  And every year she would say no,  Saying “I don’t ever want you.”  That was high school.   
That was high school.  But now it’s a year later,  And she is now chasing me,  Saying things like “I need you”.  The girl who never wanted me

Life's A Board GameLife’s a board game.  There’s a start called the birth  And a finish that is called death.   
But this game is never-ending.  
Every time you think you have won,  There is a new course that is needed to be  Completed.   
And often these courses take many  Rolls of the dice to get out.  But once you get out,  It seems that things only get tougher.   
This repetitiveness goes until  You are finished with death.  This board game of life  Leaves so many wanting to stop.

I am sorry that I am making so many journals today. 2nd one.

But I feel like I had to say this.

Did you guys hear about this story? In a tiny town called American Fork, Utah (in the U.S.), these four teenage boys were arrested for "disorderly conduct". But here's what they did. These 4 boys went to a McDonald's for food. They chose a very odd way of ordering their food though. They "rapped" their order to the lady at the drive-thru. They were inspired by a Youtube video (link at the bottom of page) and just decided to do the same. It was harmless. But the drive-thru lady said otherwise. She said the 4 teenage boys were scaring her and she was fearing for her life. All because of some boys who were rapping?!!
A little bit stupid to me. It just seems pretty stupid. Maybe it's me. The full story is in this video. [link]

But here's the real catch. They were arrested for disorderly conduct at a football game for their school! They were just cheering their team on. It's not like they were going out trying to hurt people or steal things. They just rapped their order at McDonalds and they'll now have a record. Isn't this such a crazy story period? Or is it just me?
